On June 13, 2025, Manchester Metropolitan University Vice-Chancellor Malcolm Press and his delegation visited. The team presented a smart-building digital twin and an OpenDuck Mini bipedal robot using on-site screens and the physical prototype.

From on-screen 3D scenes to mechanical assembly and electronic connections on the workbench, these photographs record project preparation and the visit.

The presentation combined 3D spaces and data panels in one interface. The on-site screen in the photograph shows a Smart Airport Digital Twin Platform, with an airport scene and operational information panels.

OPEN DUCK MINI

From open-source design
to a walking robot.

The OpenDuck Mini shown here is a bio-inspired bipedal robot built from an open-source project. Inspired by Disney's BDX robots, it brings an on-screen robot concept into hands-on engineering.

Photographs show leg and torso assembly, head electronics and the completed unit. Under the white shell, joints, control boards and cables form the robot prototype.
